The Watagans National Park
The Watagans National Park is home to waterfalls, spectacular rainforest gullies, bushwalking trails and more. A visit to the Park can be as active or relaxed as you like. Activities include bushwalking amongst gorgeous Illawarra flame trees, picnicking and admiring breathtaking views of the Hunter Valley and coastline. You can even camp out overnight at Gap Creek and visit the nearby waterfall in the morning.
The Watagans Mountains have a rich cultural heritage, visible in Aboriginal engraving sites and relics leftover from the early sawmill industry. Access to the National Park is via Martinsvile Road, Cooranbong.
